Biden Wants CHIPS
The global semiconductor chip shortage has been well-documented (is there a week we don’t write about here???).
U.S. President Biden, recently signed the CHIPS and Science Act, hoping to boost US domestic semiconductor production and relying less on Asian semiconductor manufacturers.
It makes sense as the world relies more and more on semiconductor chips, you don’t want to put all your eggs in one basket when it comes to supplying such a critical element in so many products we use these days.
Are Supply Chain Clogs Easing Fast Enough?
There are signs the global supply chain mess is starting to ease, although shipping fees are still high but have come down from astronomical highs, and shipping ports are slowly unwinding the backlogs of the past two years.
