Canada Planning Tariffs on Chinese EVs

Last week, we wrote about tariffs.

Now, Canada looks set to slap on tariffs on Chinese-made EV’s aligning with what the US is doing.

While the details are yet to be confirmed and finalized, the tariffs are believed to be similar to the US, which could be upwards of 102.5% on Chinese EV imports. (Yikes…)


Olive Oil is Next Commodity to Surge in Price

First, it was our beloved Sriracha sauce, then cocoa, then oranges and now the latest domino is olive oil.

Three years ago, the average price per litre for olive oil was CAD$6.62, today, it’s CAD$16.32 (!!!).

The surge in olive oil prices is due to a drought in the Mediterranean, resulting in poor production.
