Can a 4-Day Work Week Work in Manufacturing?

Advanced RV, is a custom-build luxury motorhome manufacturer and one of the 200 global companies trialling a 4-day work week while keeping pay at the same level.

The result? After initially seeing some drop-off in production, the company saw stabilized production and was able to maintain efficient production with the reduced work week.

Now, the owner says he won’t go back to a 5-day work week.

Not only that, of the 41 companies that participated in this trial in North America (US and Canada), none have reported going back to a regular 5-day work week.

Canadian Mining Giant Sells Coal Business

Canadian mining giant, Teck Resources, is finally selling its coal mining business to Glencore. Glencore had previously been trying to acquire the coal business from Teck with no luck.

The deal is still pending Canadian government approval.
